Ever wonder how we keep hot lunches hot and cold lunches cold? The answer is in our super lunch totes! These totes are insulated, durable lunch carriers which were custom-made specifically for Smart Lunches.
Many parents want to know about the people behind Smart Lunches. Specifically, the chefs and caterers who get up early every morning to make lunches. Where are they from? What kind of food do they like? So we thought we'd go directly to the source and ask our catering partners about themselves.
One of our newest catering partners, Chez Alice, operates out of the Princeton area and serves 10 of our partners during the school year. We spoke to Kelly Hamdan, the owner of Chez Alice, to find out a little bit more about her business. This interview has been edited for clarity.
It's hard to imagine that just a few months ago the office had many empty desks and today each desk is filled with a hardworking Smart Lunches Team Member. This summer, the office has been treated to a full makeover and it definitely fits the Smart Lunches purple and green color concept while the giant chalkboard has given us free range to stay creative and on task. We even added life-sized fork decals to spice up the office, Smart Lunches style! When you enter the office there is a wall filled with all the school and camp logos representing all the students and campers that enjoy Smart Lunches. We hope to soon have the whole wall covered! The two conference rooms are where we go to for meetings and brainstorming sessions, featuring a large whiteboard wall! And the kitchen is fully stocked with healthy snacks and makes the perfect lunch space.
